Overview

Head to the largest National Park in Tanzania, Nyerere and go for game drives to spot the wildlife such as lions and leopards. Find hippos and crocodiles in the Rufiji River and look out for more than 400 species of birds. Explore the forest with experienced armed rangers before returning to Dar es Salaam.

Itinerary

Day 1 :
Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

Depart from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park.
Upon arrival, go boating in the Rufiji River, which flows through the park and find hippos, crocodiles.
Check in to the campsite/lodge/hotel for an overnight stay on a full board basis.

Day 2 :
Full day game drive at Nyerere National Park

Post breakfast, go on a full day game drive with packed lunch and spot elephants, rhinos, hippopotamus, brindled gnu, Nyasaland gnu, sable antelope, eland, greater kudu, waterbuck, hartebeest, zebras, giraffe, reedbuck, warthog, spotted hyena, lion, leopard, hunting dog and buffaloes.

Overnight stay at the campsite/lodge/hotel.

Day 3 :
Departure

In the early morning, set out to explore the forest with the armed rangers
Return for the last breakfast.
Depart for Dar es Salaam with packed lunch.
